Movin’ On (Round 2)

The time has come.

The time is now.

For me to be packin’ up and movin’ on.

Yippee!

You may remember that for my 30th birthday, which wasn’t at all scary by the way, Rob and our friend Stuart gave me my domain http://dailymommysurvival.com as a gift. (Thanks again guys!) And that my friends, my readers, followers, and family is where you will find all things good, bad and indifferent in the Land of Lizze. From this point hence, please follow the bouncing ball over to

http://dailymommysurvival.com! 🙂

Yay!

(Oh and please excuse the mess over there as I am still working to get things “just right”. Don’t you just love OCD? lol)

We’re here.

We are here. We were seen by THE BEST CHILDREN’S ER DOCTOR EVER! He was absolutely amazing with Gavin! And now we are waiting for dischage papers and a script for Tylenol 3 to help with the pain.

I’ll update with more in a bit.

Happy 4th of July!

Gavin, Trisha the Sista and will be spending the beginning of ours in the local Children’s Hospital.

Gavin was searching through the toybox this morning and in his search he poked/speared himself in the right eye with a large piece of plastic race track. Once he stopped screaming and flailing long enough for me to look at it the slice in his cornea was plain as day.

So off we go. I’ll update as I am able. Please send up some prayers because this is going to require that he be restrained at some point.

Finally!

Well, another Twilight Saga movie release night has come and gone without me sitting in the midnight showing. I’m still stuck on Harry Potter Series ticket ordering time schedule. I keep forgetting that while Harry Potter tickets go on sale maybe a month or so ahead of time; the Twilight Saga tickets go on sale 3-6 months ahead of time. So I inevitably miss my chance to purchase midnight viewing tickets. =(

That’s more than okay this time around though. Rob was going to take me to see it as a “Date Night” thing just the two of us. But things have been super crazy lately and what with Gavin just starting a new medication; it just wasn’t in the cards right now. (I’m more than willing to do date night next month and see it again with him though. *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge* lol) So I went with my big sista instead!

We snuck our snacks and pop in. (Oh hush now! Like y’all have never done it before! =p lol) Then realized we got there too late and there weren’t any seats to had together (totally uncool!) but then some friends of Rob and I waved us up to sit dead center in the middle of the theater! We ended up with the best seats in the house! =) (Thanks Lori & Dr. G!)

The movie was amazing! (Of course.) And I love me some Edward! (Sorry honey but its true.)

All in all, I’d say we had a blast. Except for the guy whose was giving Trish and I migraines. But other than him, awesome night!

Two thumbs up!

Moody Monday #2: Fresh

fresh

  • newly made or obtained
  • new; not previously known, met with, etc.; novel
  • pure, cool, or refreshing
  • not faded, worn, obliterated, etc.

Front Row (l-r): Uncle Cy, Aunt Sissy, Grandma Gene, Jon

Middle Row (l-r): Dave, Elliott Richard (held by Aunt Kate), Gavin, Emmett John (held by Aunt Teri)

Back Row (l-r): Pa-Pa G, Grandma G, Tim, Brian

Grandma Gene and her family celebrating Grandma’s birthday!

I chose this family portrait as my representation of “fresh” because Grandma Gene is just that – not faded, worn obliterated. Plus her stories always have a way of refreshing my perspective and view-point.

Gavin, the handyman

Yesterday, while Rob and I took Elliott Richard and Emmett John to see “Toy Story 3” to celebrate Emmett John’s 2nd birthday Gavin had plans of his own made. =)

Gavin doesn’t do well with movies in the theater setting. Like Rob said yesterday, it really is unfair of us to expect him or try to force him to sit through one when he is unable to do so just so the Boys can have the experience. Likewise, it’s unfair that the Boys should miss out on the experience that they are better equipped to handle simply because Gavin is unable to. So we made alternate arrangements.

While Rob, Elliott Richard, Emmett John and I were at the movie. Gavin went on a bit of a road trip with Pa-Pa G to see Grandma Gene. Grandma needed some things done, fixed and hung up around her house. Pa-Pa needed a “Right-hand Man” to get the work done. Gavin was that “Right-hand Man”! =)

★ ★ ★ Congratulations, Gavin, on a job well done! Mommy and Daddy are very proud of you! ★ ★ ★

Dead tired

That’s me, dead tired. After I got home at 4:30am last night, Emmett John woke up screaming in pain from reflux issues. Since I was already awake conscious I took him downstairs. Of course, he was tired and exhausted but figured 4:30am was as good a time as any to stay up for the day.

You know, I used to pull all-nighters all the time back in the day. This has taught me that I am no longer a Spring-chick and all-nighters are no longer an option for me.
